Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 Green chili
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3 slices Bread brown or white
  • 1/2 Carrot
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1/4 Capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Coriander
  • 2 tbsp Corn
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 3 tsp Green chutney
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 3 tsp Butter

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Spiced Corn Mixture

  • – Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions. Sauté until they turn translucent.
  • – Add green chili, corn, and finely chopped carrot, capsicum, and tomatoes to the pan.
  • – Season with salt, pepper, turmeric powder, and Kashmiri red chili powder.
  • – Cook the mixture on medium heat for a few minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  • – Turn off the heat, add chopped coriander leaves, and give it a good mix.

Step 2: Assemble the Masala Corn Toast

  • – Take a bread slice and spread a layer of green chutney on one side.
  • – Next, spread a layer of the spiced corn mixture on top of the chutney.
  • – Drizzle tomato sauce over the corn mixture.
  • – Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top for added richness.
  • – Repeat the process for the remaining bread slices.

Step 3: Toast the Masala Corn Toast

  • – Heat a tawa or griddle and spread butter evenly.
  • – Place the assembled bread slices on the heated surface and press down gently.
  • – Cook on low heat until the bottom side turns golden brown.
  • – Flip the slices and toast the other side until it becomes crispy and golden.
  • – Remove from heat and cut into desired shapes, such as triangles or squares.

Notes

  • Use fresh and crisp bread slices to ensure better toasting results.
  • Adjust the spice levels according to your taste preferences. Add more chili powder or green chilies for extra spiciness.
  • Experiment with different cheese options such as mozzarella or pepper jack for a unique twist on the traditional recipe.
