Ingredients

  • 32 ounces Delectable dried Ziti Pasta
  • 4 tablespoons Aromatic minced Garlic
  • 2 cups Crisp White Wine
  • 4 ounces Savory Olive Oil
  • 2 ounces Velvety Butter
  • 2 Basil Sprigs to garnish
  • 6 tablespoons Aged Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 pounds Premium ground Italian Sausage
  • 24 ounces Succulent diced Tomatoes
  • 40 ounces of Robust Marinara Sauce
  • 2 ounces Freshly chopped Basil
  • 16 ounces Creamy Mozzarella Cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the ziti pasta according to the instructions on the package. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add the Italian sausage to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through.
  • Pour in the white wine and cook for a few minutes to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
  • Add the diced tomatoes and marinara sauce to the skillet, stirring well to combine. Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the cooked ziti pasta with the sauce. Make sure all the pasta is well coated.
  • Spread half of the pasta mixture in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Add another layer of pasta and top it with the remaining Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
  • Dot the surface of the dish with butter and garnish with basil sprigs.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  • Once baked, let the ziti rest for a few minutes before serving. This will allow the flavors to develop and the dish to set.
