Cuisine American
- Neutral Cooking Oil
- 3 Seaweed Sheets sliced into small squares
- 1 package of Instant Noodles
- 6 Rice Paper Sheets
- 2 oz Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Sauce optional, can be a combination of Chili Sauce, Soy Sauce, and Garlic
Step 1: Prepare the Fire Noodles
– Cook the instant noodles according to the package instructions, but reduce the cooking time by one minute to keep them slightly firm.
– Drain the noodles and set aside.
Step 2: Soften the Rice Paper Sheets
– Fill a shallow dish or plate with warm water.
– Dip one rice paper sheet into the water, making sure to fully submerge it for a few seconds until it becomes soft and pliable.
– Place the softened rice paper on a clean surface.
Step 3: Assemble the Dumplings
– On the lower third of the rice paper sheet, place a small portion of the cooked fire noodles.
– Add a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the noodles.
– Roll the bottom edge of the rice paper over the filling, tucking it tightly to ensure a secure wrap.
– Fold in the sides of the rice paper and continue rolling until the dumpling is well-sealed.
– Repeat this process with the remaining rice paper sheets.
Step 4: Pan-Fry the Dumplings
– In a non-stick skillet, heat a small amount of neutral cooking oil over medium-high heat.
– Place the dumplings in the skillet, seam side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown and crispy.
– Remove the dumplings from the skillet and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
– Arrange the fire noodle rice paper dumplings on a serving platter.
– Garnish with sliced seaweed and serve with your favorite sauce on the side.
– Enjoy the fiery burst of flavors with every bite!
- – For added freshness, you can include various vegetables such as lettuce, cucumber, or bean sprouts as fillings in the dumplings.
- – To prevent the rice paper from sticking together, be sure to place a damp kitchen towel or paper towel between each layer.
- – Experiment with different sauces like sweet chili sauce, peanut sauce, or hoisin sauce for dipping.
