FOR THE DISTINCTIVE CHICKEN

  • 4 tablespoons zesty mustard
  • 8 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons savory Old Bay seasoning

  • 1/2 cup aromatic vegetable oil

FOR THE SANDWICH

  • 8 slices Finlandia Cheddar Cheese
  • Sliced ripe tomato
  • 8 buns toasted if desired

FOR THE CRAB SPREAD

  • 1/2 cup velvety mayonnaise
  • A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 3 teaspoons flavorful Old Bay seasoning

Instructions
 

STEP – 1. Marinate the Chicken:

  • In a bowl, combine zesty mustard, Old Bay seasoning, apple cider vinegar, and vegetable oil to create a marinade.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them.
  • Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the flavors.

STEP – 2. Prepare the Crab Spread:

  • In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, fresh lemon juice, lump crab meat, Old Bay seasoning, and cream cheese until well combined.
  • Set aside the crab spread for later use.

STEP – 3. Cook the Chicken:

  • Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off.
  • Grill the chicken breasts for about 6-8 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.

STEP – 4. Assemble the Chicken Chesapeake Sandwich:

  • Place a grilled chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun.
  • Layer a slice of Finlandia Cheddar Cheese on top of each chicken breast.
  • Add sliced tomatoes and crisp lettuce on the cheese.
