  • 1 1/2 lbs Stewing Beef With Fat Cut Into 1-inch Cubes
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 1/2 White Onions Chopped
  • 1/2 lb Carrots Peeled And Cubed
  • Salt To Taste
  • 3/8 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 1/2 cups Water
  • 3/4 lb Red Potatoes Peeled And Cubed
  • 1 Diced Tomato Recommended
  • Ground Black Pepper To Taste

Instructions
 

Heat Olive Oil:

  • In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat 1 1/2 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil over medium heat.

Brown the Beef:

  • Add the 1 1/2 lbs of Stewing Beef cubes to the pot. Brown the beef on all sides to seal in the juices and enhance flavor.

Add Water:

  • Pour in 2 1/2 cups of Water, covering the browned beef in the pot.

Chop Vegetables:

  • Chop 1 1/2 White Onions, 3/4 lb Red Potatoes, and 1/2 lb Carrots into cubes.

Add Vegetables:

  • Add the chopped onions, potatoes, and carrots to the pot with the beef and water.

Include Diced Tomato:

  • Add 1 Diced Tomato to the pot for a burst of freshness.

Season the Stew:

  • Sprinkle 3/8 teaspoon of Garlic Powder over the stew.
  • Season with Ground Black Pepper and Salt to taste.

Simmer:
